I’m a big fan of LinkedIn and find it a very useful tool for both professional networking and job hunting, but as I have used it for a year or two I have found that my list of connections no longer reflects my current career direction and I would like to axe a few people from the list. I still like them, just don’t want to have a formal LinkedIn connection. How the heck do I delete LinkedIn connections, Dave??
Now that I’ve started to use LinkedIn, I’m paying more attention to everyone else’s LinkedIn Profile too, of course, and i just noticed that some people are able to add links to their company and personal Web sites. I want to do that too! How do I add these links?
I have a spreadsheet of names, addresses, email and phone numbers and would like to invite all of them to join LinkedIn and link to me. Can you tell me how to do this as I haven’t been able to figure it out? Thanks, Dave!
I’ve signed up for LinkedIn and had some success getting my colleagues to sign up too, but I’m a bit confused: for most of my links I can see their connections too, but there are a couple of people who obviously have connections but I can’t see or browse them. What’s that all about and how could I do that if I wanted to keep my connections private?
I’m really appreciating your series of articles on the LinkedIn system, and am now ready to start inviting some of my colleagues now that I have my profile set up and such. Can you tell me how to do that, and perhaps also share some best practices for inviting others to join?
I’m still on the LinkedIn learning curve, but I do have a profile now and have invited a few of my friends and colleagues to link up with me. All of a sudden I now have a “request to forward” an introduction from someone I don’t know to one of my friends. What do I do?
