I saw your article from a while back on how to move messages into specific tabs on Gmail [see Organize email by tabs in Gmail] but am a bit confused because I don’t see the same tabs you do. What’s up and how can I add new tabs to my tabbed user interface in Google Mail / Gmail?
I want to add Canadian holidays to my iCal calendar, but rather than enter them all myself, I’m wondering if there’s a public place where I can find a calendar already set up that I can just copy? Are there iCal calendar directories online, and if so, where would I find them?
This is driving me crazy: since my iPhone 5s is always on and online and since I’m running the Facebook app and it’s usually active on the phone, I always show up as available for online chat even when I’m far away from the device. What I’d like is to never have the iPhone Facebook app show me as on chat. How can I change this?
I’m getting used to the new tabs in Gmail and it’s pretty good, but every so often it decides that somethig I want in my regular inbox should actually go into the forums or promotions tab. So I often don’t find it for hours or even a day or more. Not so good. Is there a way I can redirect mis-filed incoming mail in Google Mail?
Is it possible to do Google searches through voice input on my computer? My sister is a terrible typist and gets very frustrated while searching for information and I’m tempted to buy a dictation system to help her out. But is there just an easy way to speak and have Google search?
What the heck? I just went into my “Promotions” tab on my Gmail account and slipped in with the information about messages I’d received was an advertisement. I don’t want ads in my inbox, I already get enough spam as it is! How can I block Google from polluting my Gmail inbox with unwanted advertisements?
Mobile Home is a small device that interacts with Siri on the Apple iPhone. It’s meant to be used when you’re driving so you don’t have to pick up your phone to interact with the voice interface system. The device is small, compact, and simple to use. It pairs with your iPhone and basically becomes a remote home button for the phone, which is handy. Mobile Home comes packed nicely and you can choose to mount it with either a visor clip or two Velcro dots. I used the built-in clip and put it alongside the Jabra hands-free device on my visor.
In a discussion group I’m part of on Facebook, someone started talking about all the messages he had sitting and collecting dust in his “Others” inbox. What others mailbox? What is this and how do I find it?
