About 6 months ago I was playing around on my iBook G4 and I found the option to change the format that Apple+Shift+4 saves in. For some odd reason I choose JPG-2000 (picture.jp2). Of course, now I can’t find how to change it back!

I want to take a picture (capture) of my screen while running certain programs on my Mac so I can email the screenshot to a friend but have no idea how to do so. Is it even possible?
I have read lots of articles about how to constrain search results on Google by domain, by site, and even how to group words and include “negative” keywords to ensure that I don’t get spurious matches. What I haven’t figured out is whether there’s any way to constrain my searches by date. For example, to just find material that’s been updated or indexed in the last week. Doable?
Maybe I’m the one dim bulb in the chandelier, but why do so many people want to unlock their iPhone, and for that matter, what does it mean to unlock the phone anyway? I can’t read any Apple-related Web site nowadays without 25% of the news being about this, that or the other person who figured out some way to unlock the phone?
A pal just emailed me to complain that I have a bunch of deleted friends in my MySpace friends list. Not good. How do I zap ’em so that I only have friends who are still active members of the MySpace community?
Okay, I read your tutorial on how to chop out a segment of a song to create a ringtone in mp3 format (see how to extract an mp3 snippet as a custom cellphone ringtone). Now I’m ready to actually find out how to copy that to my Apple iPhone and then set it as a custom ringtone. Can it be done?
I have a ton of mp3 format audio files on my Mac OS X system and want to chop a short segment out of it to use as a custom ringtone for my Apple iPhone. What’s the solution?
I keep getting errors about not being able to establish a secure connection with my mail server in Entourage because of a bad root certificate. My ISP has sent me the necessary “trusted root certificate” file, but I have no idea how to install it. Help!
