I saw your article about how to reduce the size of a photo or image on a Mac and that’s exactly what I want, but I’m running Microsoft Windows 8, not a Mac. Can you offer up the same basic tutorial, but for us WIn8 users, please? Thanks!

I really want to customize my Windows 8 Start Page by adding tiles for my key stock holdings. Though I might be running Windows, I have more Apple stock than Microsoft stock, for example, and it’d be nice to see how it’s doing at a glance. Is that possible?
Still getting the hang of Windows 8 but I’m starting to really enjoy the new interface. Which is good because I have to use Win8 here at work. What I’m wondering is if there’s any way to customize the background on the start screen? Right now it’s just a solid blue behind all the tiles, but I’d like something a bit more lively…
I was looking at a friend’s Windows 8 screen while at a meeting and saw that he had a ton of additional tiles on his startup screen that offered quick access to administrative tools of various types. As a Windows IT guy, I’d love to have that too. How do I enable these admin tool tiles on my own Win8 startup screen?
I’m using Windows 8 on my laptop and so far the experience is really good, except for some reason it thinks it’s running on a tablet. Not just the touch interface, but there’s even a pop-up “touch” keyboard icon on the Taskbar. Nice, but, um, I have a keyboard. How can I get rid of the keyboard icon entirely?
My Dad’s been doing well with the transition from Windows 7 to Windows 8 on his new Vizio all-in-one computer, but one thing’s messing him up when he’s working on his novel: he can no longer find the cursor in Notepad. You know, the one that’s just a vertical line? How can we fix that?
Once in a while, a name – in this case, Dennaton Games – comes out of nowhere with an indie powerhouse packed into a little package. Through Devolver Digital, Dennaton released Hotline Miami on PC in October of 2012, and it’s quickly become one of the more surreal and memorable experiences available in independent gaming.
I’m running Microsoft Windows 8 now and am baffled by the whole printing process. In fact, there are a bunch of apps that go full screen and have no menu, no options, and I have no idea how to do anything in them. If I’m viewing a PDF, how do I make a printed copy?
