This is weird: my friends are telling me that when I send mail from Gmail, the return address is to googlemail.com, not gmail.com. Have I had my Gmail account hacked or something?

Google makes a big deal about how you should keep all your email when you’re a Gmail user, because it’s easy to search through your archives, however big they may get. What I can’t figure out, however, is how to search my deleted email!
I just noticed that one of the actions I can take on a discussion thread in Google’s Gmail service is to “mute” it. What the heck is that? Something to do with audio playback, perhaps?
Am currently in the uk and here the domain for gmail account is @googlemail.com. I recently created a gmail account and i was wondering whether theres a way to change my address from username@googlemail.com to username@gmail.com? I know that whether you write username@gmail.com and username@googlemail.com get delivered to the same inbox..but still want to change the domain of my email add! :))
Hi, can you please send me the procedure how to redirect the mails from Gmail account to Yahoo account?
Dave! I’m a big fan of Google Gmail – like you are – and have gotten most things figured out, but I’m wondering if you can tell me how to set up a vacation autoresponder so people know when I’m on a trip?
I know that I can delete entire discussion threads in Gmail, but what I’m wondering is if there’s a way to delete individual messages in a thread, not the entire thread? Y’know what I’m talking about: sometimes discussions start out focused and then get sidetracked…
