I posted a picture on Instagram of my boyfriend and it’s gotten a ton of likes. Problem is, it’s a picture of him singing in the shower and he’s pretty pissed about it. He insists I delete it and save him further embarrassment, but I don’t know how to do that! Is it possible to delete or remove an Instagram picture once it’s posted??
Far be it from me to step in the middle of this, but if you’re going to post a photo of your boyfriend singing in the shower, even from the neck-up, I would definitely think you are likely to get some flack for it! Possibly not the best judgment. Then again, he could have a bit of a sense of humor about it and just laugh that it’s crazy silly.
Of course, you didn’t email the photo to us, so it might be ghastly. 🙂
In any case, you’re in luck. Instagram makes a lot of things confusing because of its Web-unfriendly interface and the differences between the Android and iPhone versions of the app, but there is a way to remove a photo that you’re having second thoughts about having posted.
Or your boyfriend is.
Jump into the Instagram app on your cell phone, and find the photograph. It’ll look kinda like this, though with more shampoo and wet tiles:
Scroll down just a bit and you’ll see three buttons below the likes, caption and comments:
“Like” and “Comment” are obvious, but didja ever tap on the “…” button? Do so…
Surprise, there are all sorts of additional options available for any photo you view in Instagram, and a few that are just because it’s your own picture, most notably the big red “Delete” button. Tap on it.
You sure? In fact, you might let your boyfriend tap on “Delete” at this point, so he can see that the photo has really vanished from the Instagram system.
Now, next time he’s in the shower? Maybe your cellphone should stay in another room!
Btw, I’m on Instagram too. Just go to the Explore area and search for d1taylor to find – and follow – me. Thanks!
