I’ve been learning more about Pages (part of Apple iWorks) and am wondering if there’s a template document, premade layout or similar that will let me quickly create an attractive invoice to send to clients?
There sure is. In fact, just like Microsoft Word, Pages comes with dozens of premade templates that you can quickly customize for your own task, templates that will make your documents look far more professional than if you created the same document from scratch.
They’re also well organized, so generally I find it quite easy to find the template I seek. I’ll show you how to find the Invoice template in Pages and you’ll see what I mean.
Launch Pages then look in the “File” menu:
As shown, you want to pick “New from Template Chooser…”, which brings up a big window with lots of different templates shown:
Invoices are considered office forms, so click on “Forms” on the left side to have a selection of premade office form templates displayed:
There’s what you want. “Invoice”. Click on it, click on “Choose” and the template pops open:
From this point, simply click on the different fields and customize it for your own use. Easily done.
I create my own invoice from the blank page then send it by e-mail my customers tell me they can’t open it what’s wrong
If you’re saving it in iWorks format that would cause this sort of problem. You need to Save As or Export in a different format. I suggest PDF. Give that a try!
I have been trying to create an invoice BOOK. With identical pages having sequential numbers.
Impossible !!
So simple with Microsoft publisher to add any number of identical pages sequentially numbered but
impossible with pages!!
After several hours I have given up.
can you help??
The process is very simple. And the invoice templates that are included with Pages are very professional looking and quite customizable.
Overall – I have been very pleased with the Apple Pages program.
