I have the Fire HDX 7″ & 8.9″. How do these compare to the new Fire HD 8?
Hi Allen. The Kindle Fire HD 8 and HD 10 are the newer units, being 5th generation Kindles, but they’re also at a lower price-point than the HDX so there are definitely some trade-offs. For example, the HDX has an 11hr battery life, while the HD has an 8hr battery life, and the HDX has higher screen resolution too. Then again, it’s more expensive. Oh, the Fire HD has that sweet MicroSD slot which I think is really useful if you like to store lots of stuff (read “movies and TV shows”) on your device.
