Get started with Windows 8 parental child account control?

My son constantly wants to use my PC, but he’s 7 and I don’t want to risk him messing up my work. I also don’t want him on XBox Live, MS Live, etc. Can I set him up on my Windows 8 system without him having an email address, etc, just an account on the PC itself?

I’ve just bought my Mom a new PC desktop computer and it’s running Windows 8. So far she seems to like it, but she’s been complaining to me that everything’s too small. Is there a way to make things bigger in Win8 and otherwise configure it for a senior citizen?

Fast way to get to application list in Windows 8?

Okay, I accept that without a third party add-on I’m never going to see my beloved Start Menu again. I can adjust. But is there at least a simple way to get to my full app or application list from the Start Screen in Win8?
