I really like that I can just talk to my iPhone, saying “hey siri”, and it wakes up and listens. Can I do something similar on my Apple MacBook Air computer too? Also, is there a way to type in queries to siri, rather than speak them?

I use Siri quite a bit on my Apple iMac and iPhone, but sometimes I want to type, not talk. Late at night in particular, I don’t want to risk waking up the baby. Is there a way on the Mac to type in queries for Siri?
I don’t want to talk to my Android phone when I’m in the office, so is there some way I can type and interact with Google Assistant instead?
In the introduction of the iPhone 8 and iPhone X, Apple said that you can now type to Siri if you don’t want to talk to it. Great. How do I enable this feature?
