I need to get some screen shots of our program running on my Windows computer. Now that I’m running Win10, what’s the smart way to do this so I can crop to size and save the screenshots as PNG files?

I take a lot of screen captures on my iMac and every time it saves as a PNG file. My SEO friend told me that for screenshots JPEG or JPEG 2000 are better formats and will be much, much smaller files. Cool. How do I change the Mac screencapture format?
I’m in QA testing and take zillions of screen captures on test machines. Then I have to copy them over to my main computer for reports. Tedious. I understand that there’s a way in Dropbox to have screenshots automatically export? How do I set that up!

Being able to record video footage of your Mac’s screen can be a lot more useful than you realize. Aside from creating tutorials and other similar types of videos, you can also save any content that you want – including online streaming videos, Skype calls, and games. If only it were easy…
