I have begun exploring possible updates and changes to my popular book Creating Cool HTML 4 Web Pages, notably including a discussion of xhtml and some information about online validation systems. What else should I include? Please add your two cents to ensure that the next edition (the sixth!) will be the best possible. Thanks!

A question: the publisher suggests that wireless markup language or similar would be a useful addition, but my impression is that cellphones (etc) are migrating to being able to accept full HTML rather than forcing content providers to produce dumbed-down content. So should we have a section about WAP/WML or not??
Dave, How about something about modifying an already set “form” such as in AOL’s Profiles? I have seen some really cool stuff put in those, but I’m not sure how the people change the ability to add more text or change the colors or even add colored backgrounds to the form. Love the book (second edition) !.
Many Thanks & Happy Typing!

Well, the book is definitely transmogrifying. My new proposal has a lot less CGI and a lot more CSS and similar. Look for material on usability too. And a timeline for this? Dunno… not in the immediate future, though! 🙂
