I’ll gladly buy you a cuppa if you can answer my query. I play mp3’s from my desktop through my old receiver to a pair of floor speakers that sound good to me. I convert my mp3’s to wma’s using Winamp. I was quite satisfied with the fidelity until I heard about DAC’s. My question(s) is/are – Could I plug the cable into the Cambridge Audio DacMagic XS instead of the line-out plug on the motherboard and then have the other end in the aux terminals on the receiver and get sound, AND would it make a significant difference? Or are DAC’s mainly for headphones?
