Let's check it out. Dave Taylor here, and I have my mini Vizio TV, and I got to say, I really like the TV

but the sound, eh, most modern TVs really aren't designed to give you good audio reproduction

They put speakers in because they kind of have to, but they really want you to plug in something

like this, a sound bar. Now, there is a world of soundbars. You can easily spend a thousand

dollars on a soundbar for your TV system. And generally, you're going to have a center speaker

you're going to have satellite speakers, you're going to have a subwifers, so you see things

like 5.1 and 7.1, and all of that, which indicates the number of speakers, dot the number of subwifers

Well, this is a 2.0 soundbar. This is the Vizio 2.0 soundbar with Dolby and DTSX

Its model SV 200M 0808. And it is super easy to work with

It's really great if you have a Vizio TV, but if you don't, you can still plug it in and have it work just fine

You want to plug it in using HTML, to the E-Arc plug on your TV

Now, E-Arc is enhanced audio return channel. And let me just show you a couple of pictures

So when you pull the soundbar out of the box, it actually has a little sticker and it shows you

here's what you want to do. And then when you take the sticker off, you can see there's two plugs, one for USB

and much more importantly, one for HDMI. The soundbar comes with an HDMI cable that I plugged into

my TV and that instantly gives me the ability to control the soundbar with the TV remote

So let's give it some sound. And I'll turn the volume up and you'll notice it's here that you're seeing the volume because

the TV is controlling the sound bar. And just by for comparison let me unplug the soundbar for a minute so you can hear what

the TV sound sounds like. Okay, so the sound bar is unplugged and there we go

So I have to turn it way up because it's just this tiny little speaker on the back

So by comparison I'll plug this back in and it'll take a couple of seconds to re-synchronize

and figure out what going on but this gives me so much more sound and it It really pretty darn surprising Now it supports Dolby Atmos It supports DTSX if you use that E connection And you can hear there bold bass There a full

surprisingly full sound. Let me mute this so we can actually hear. And we're just watching this nature show

obviously you can give it any source that you want but one of the cool things is that it has

virtualized height so it actually is using some smart circuitry to simulate the difference in

height of different sounds which is how you get things like Dolby so you can actually

adjust that height it's 150 watts output on two speakers and it goes down to 70 hertz for

the base so no it's not down to 20 hertz or something So it is not as good or as fun as having a big subwifor and having lots of rumble

but for a small space, for simple install, surprisingly effective. Now, what I want to do is I want to actually switch things around

so I can show you both the on-screen controls because it's Vizio and Vizio

And then I'll show you on my phone how the Vizio app also gives you the ability to control the soundbar

because super important point, it doesn't include a remote control. Now, there are some buttons on the end of it, as you can see in this close-up

so you do have some control over it. Let me show you how that works. I have my own YouTube channel playing, so let me mute this for a second

And now I'm going to press the settings on the remote, and you can see on the left, it gives me different picture modes

it gives me all sorts of access to different features. here on this Vizio television

But if I go to audio, it knows that I have the soundbar

You can see that near the top, Vizio soundbar settings. So I can get to the base settings

I can add more bass. I can go and I can change something called Dialog Enhancer

I'll explain more about that in just a second. I can go into night mode

And if you look at the bottom, you can see it explains the night mode

actually reduces the low frequencies until the next power cycle. So if you're watching it late at night, you're going to get less base

And of course, Virtual X I want to have on. And then I can adjust the height

Remember, it's a virtualized height. But this is something where you can experiment with different settings to see how it sounds

And so let me turn the sound back on. And then we'll make a couple of changes and see if we can tell the difference

So that you can hear a difference. So that you can hear a difference It gives us a little bit more of an expansive sound Let try height And it takes a second or two to calibrate

That one's really hard to tell. We go dialogue enhancer. Make sure that it is accurate

And then once you're in altimeter mode, there's a subtle difference there

And then the base is on high, so let's turn it on low

So it is basically saying that definitely has a significant difference. I hope you can hear that through the microphone

So all of those settings super easy to work with and there's even a couple more down here that you can fiddle with

But that really is everything you should need to do and everything you should need to access

So let me jump back on camera. Now let's check out how the phone app works

So I've already paired the phone app with the soundbar, which was super easy to do

Literally, when I went into the app, it showed me the soundbar because it was powered up

and then I choose it. And most basically, you can choose between music and movie audio modes

and they make a significant difference. If you want to use this as a Bluetooth speaker or you want to be watching music videos or something

music's going to give you better results. But movie tends to be better if there's dial

But where this really rocks is if you go into personalize, because then you can get to things like clear dialogue

And what happens is in modern audio programs, what they have is the people speaking tend to be in the center channel

So this lets you actually have your center channel amplified, and the effect of it is that you can actually understand what people are saying

which is pretty miraculous, when there's so many shows where you have no idea what's going to

going on. You can also adjust bass and treble. You can adjust the virtualized height. Remember I talked

about that. And if we go into advanced audio settings, there are even more effects than things

that you can adjust on your sound bar. So all that's pretty easy. That's most everything. Let me

add that. It also includes this quick fit system. So there's two little screws here. And then

there's clips on here. So Vizio TVs actually have two little screw holes at the bottom of the

television and you use this and then this clips right onto the bottom of your TV. Now obviously it is

longer than my 24 inch TV so this TV does not support that so I can't demo it. But on a larger

TV from Vizio, this is something where in 10 seconds it's clipped on even if your TV is wall mounted. And then

you have these two little straps, little Velcro straps to help you with cable management

And it comes with a warranty and it comes with if you want to wall mount it it gives you a wall mount template So you can get exactly the right size

That is also handy. And then finally, it gives you a basic get started guide, which was plenty enough for me

to be able to get this thing plugged into my TV and rocking

So that's really everything. I have to say that it is surprisingly good sound, and it's really easy to work with

And I really like that, especially with the Vizio TV, you have on-screen settings for everything

so you really can fine-tune what you want to get out of the sound

And that makes it super convenient. So, let's see. The only other thing I will tell you is, let me put this stuff back so you can see it

And in terms of dimensions, it is 30 inches long by 3.3 inches deep, by 2.3 inches high, and it's 5.5 pounds
