Ready to upgrade your sound system, these speakers will do the trick
0:03
Let's check them out. Dave Taylor here, and I am so psyched to be checking out these speakers
0:16
These are the Kanto-U powered speakers, and they are crazy nice sounding, and they get super loud
0:23
So, really fun. Now, as you can see on the front, each of them features a, let's see here, a one-inch
0:29
silk tweeter and a four inch woven Kevlar woofer and they have a passive radiator base that comes out
0:36
the back really nice 60 to 20 000 hertz frequency response you can plug in a subwifer if you want those
0:44
really low base notes pounded out and they push out 70 watts rms it's a class d amp so you can
0:51
plug this into a lot of different devices and get really solid sound now the cabinets are made out of
0:58
acoustic MDF and they have a really nice feel. They're going to look really smart if you have them
1:03
in your living room or if you want to really be hardcore, put them on either side of your big
1:09
computer screen and your experience playing games. It's going to be totally different. But hey
1:14
let's actually hear what they sound like. Now, obviously, my microphones here, they're pushing out
1:20
in that direction and you have the reproduction and all of that. But still, let's give them a shot
1:28
So I using this via Bluetooth off my smartphone So go ahead and pause that And there two basic ways you can connect So let me actually show you the back There is a primary and a secondary speaker
1:53
There are even different weights, right? This one has the amp built in. And I'll show you the back here
1:57
So it has RCA in and that's it. It's basically RCA in, subwiffer out
2:04
It has old school paired speaker wires and it comes with a 16 foot wire to connect
2:10
the two and you want them pretty far apart. This is suboptimal having them be this close
2:15
And then finally there's a power and there's an on-off switch but on the front, on the primary unit
2:22
there's also this main control dial which you can use for volume, so I'll get this going again
2:28
And I can turn the volume down or the volume up. And you can also push and hold to turn it off
2:36
or push it and turn it off. And you can also change inputs because there's those two inputs, right
2:44
So you have the RCA and then you have Bluetooth. And the RCA also supports APTX
2:50
So it's Bluetooth 4.2. You know, it's not the state of the art there on the Bluetooth side
2:57
but given that they're not wireless or anything, it is perfectly acceptable
3:01
And more likely than not, you're going to have everything really close together anyway
3:04
But I've been using this with my phone and I've been pretty far away from the speakers and they've continued to sound terrific
3:11
Now, one of the other things Canto includes is this pretty substantial remote and with the remote you have the ability to adjust
3:19
base and treble and volume and you can choose different inputs and turn it on and off and you can adjust balance Basically everything you want to do on an amp you can do right here on the remote and you don need the remote So if you lose this or you just don have it convenient you can use this control right here and that works just fine So let see This gives you the
3:43
control of volume and you can push to switch inputs and you can push to power on and off
3:48
And it goes into automatic standby mode. So if I leave it like this and I don't have any music
3:54
it's okay. It'll eventually just power down. No. problem, no energy wasted. And in terms of dimensions, let me give you the dimensions. So
4:01
it is five by five, or sorry, five and a half by eight point seven inches by seven and a half inches deep
4:08
And this one's five point two pounds. And the one with the amp is a little heavier at six point one
4:14
pounds. So it's about 12 pounds worth of speakers because speakers need magnets to generate really
4:20
good sound. And they do sound lovely. I'm really impressed with these. They have a
4:26
really nice sound stage. There's a clean, precise sound here. And in particular, having them sit
4:33
on a table, not great, but if you can put them on something or even put them on like a speaker
4:37
stand, you'll actually lose a little bit of the muddiness that the bass can have, depending on your
4:43
music source. And it just cleans that up a little bit because speakers really aren't designed to
4:48
sit on a table right next to each other. So for these, they sell matching stands that put it at a 30
4:55
degree angle, that's going to be a really smart additional investment. So really a fan of these
5:00
These are definitely going into probably my new recording studio and these are just going to be
5:05
what I'm going to be listening to while I'm setting up my shot. So these are definitely worth
5:10
looking at If you been looking at like speakers so that you can change what you have going on with your computer or something It a little bit more expensive but boy is it a big and substantial upgrade
5:24
Definitely worth checking out. So before I tell you the price, though, let me just ask if you can subscribe to my channel
5:30
Really appreciate when you do that. I'm super on us and straightforward, and I give you the straight scoop
5:36
Now, one thing I did want to also mention is that it does not come with an RCA to 3.5
5:42
adapter. Not sure why they don't toss one in the box. I think they should, but you can pick one up on Amazon for under $10 and then you plug this into the RCA. And now you have a much more common 3.5 millimeter input. And then you could use something like a 3.5 millimeter to 3.5 millimeter AUX cable. You can plug this into, for example, your computer, right? So if you have a PC or something, you're not going to have RCA out. So you can use this and this total investment. I don't know
6:12
maybe 10 bucks, maybe 15 bucks. And this will give this that additional feature
6:18
Totally worth it. Okay, great. Canto, you powered speakers, 249, 99 at Amazon
6:27
or you can check them out at cantoliving.com. I am definitely a fan
6:31
These are definitely going into my studio. And I'm going to go right back to my music
6:35
which means that I will catch you in my next video
