You're going to love this sleep machine at bedtime
0:02
Let's check it out. Dave Taylor here, and if you're like me, you don't always get to sleep super smoothly
0:16
and you also don't always stay asleep. Now, sometimes that's because of your physical health or external events
0:24
but a lot of times it's to do with noise in your environment. And that's where sleep machines are really
0:29
great because they can generate a variety of different sounds that mask the quiet ticks and cracks
0:37
and pops and other things that happen in your house or apartment at night. So really they can be
0:44
a big boon and obviously a huge benefit for little children and babies. Enter this. This is the
0:51
Hot Moon Cuckoon Pro sound machine and they have taken the idea of a sound machine and taken it to
0:59
it's very extreme. It has over 360 sounds, including white noise and fan and nature and lullabies and
1:10
meditation. It also has a light. In fact, let me just turn it on and you'll see. So we have a
1:17
thunderstorm. Let me get that volume up a little bit here. And we have obviously the light
1:26
So you can have these synchronized. So you can say, When I push the button in the middle to start my sleep routine, turn on an orange light at really bright brightness, and then have this particular sound, and then after 10 minutes, switch to turning the light way less bright and a different sound, and then after another 15 minutes, turn the light off, and then have for the rest of the night something like this, which is a thunderstorm
1:57
So really smart. It also is a nightlight if you want to leave the light on. I hope you can see in the front that it's showing the time. And as you'll see in the app, when I show you that in just a second, they've done such a good job engineering the app that you can change the actual brightness of the clock, including turning it off for your defined sleep hours. Let's try a different sound
2:24
So this is one of the fan sounds. And then the third button is music
2:31
So they have some lullabies, they have some classic music, they have some meditation and
2:38
Zen music. It's very pleasant. So the idea is that you program these buttons to have your favorite sounds out of their app library which has an enormous number of sounds And then you can get to them directly or you can just push that button in the middle
2:57
which starts a cycle. And so now you can see the light has changed color and brightness as part of my cycle
3:06
Here, this gives you the access to a timer. In fact, let me just give you a close-up and show you all the buttons
3:11
So going around clockwise, you have the timer, which gives you 45 minutes, 90 minutes, or eight hours, volume down, volume up, light control, power, your favorite music setting, and each of the three custom buttons you can have up to nine different settings on
3:32
So it's music, then nature, then fan. So I'm going to go ahead and turn all of that off because I want to show you the
3:41
app because they've done a beautiful job with this app. So let's see. Here we go. It is the hot moon
3:48
app and you can see even the design is very pleasing. So let's turn it back on from the app
3:55
It's easy enough. And now when I go into it, let's switch. So here's my routine. You can see
4:01
I'm in that light blue, maybe aquamarine color and I'm in alpha waves two for 15 minutes
4:09
and then we'll switch to piano autumn and I believe that yeah that takes you so I guess no it starts you over okay so we'll we'll switch that around in a minute you can see I have different schedules based on time and where this gets really fun is when you get into my sounds so these are the ones I've already programmed out of the library so we can just say all right let's go to attic fan and
4:39
So there's attic fan. Let me lean forward a little bit. And then if we go into nature sounds, we can say, let's switch to babbling brook
4:56
Thunderstorm on the lake. And then if we go to music, you can see there are again nine different music's preset
5:19
And let's try deep sleep. That'll just chug along for as long as you need it to
5:30
Let try alpha waves No I guess we already did that one Let do relieve stress And then the library has an enormous number of different sounds and lights
5:46
So notice the color here. I'm going to change that light to orange-red
5:52
And the light is categorized. So relax, gives us access to azure
6:00
And of course, in a dark room, room, this light's going to just give you that color throughout the room, which is going to be a very
6:07
different effect. And we can go into the nursery. If you happen to have a baby and your baby is
6:14
anxious, then lavender purple will help the baby relax and therefore help you relax, which is pretty
6:22
darn important. So all of that. And there's even more, we can get into a timer. So you can see the
6:29
different timer settings, but I also want to show you, let's see, I think we go here, and then if I'm
6:35
going to tap on the gear icon on the top right, and then that gives you access to a lot more things
6:42
Like here's clock brightness. Remember when I was talking earlier, I said you can have your
6:47
clock at a certain brightness, and let's just bring it down a little bit. And then you can say from 10 p.m
6:52
to 7 a.m., just have it off, right? So now it's a brightness zero, starting at
6:59
10 p.m. so that's not something you'd see immediately but one of the things I
7:03
really appreciate with this device and I think that's about all we can
7:07
demonstrate here one of the things I really appreciate is when device
7:13
designers recognize you might want a pitch dark space when you're sleeping
7:18
so they have the ability to have all of the lights off so even the lights that
7:23
come on when I'm touching the screen here it brings up the lights underneath
7:29
all the buttons, but then after 10 seconds that light goes away. This light on the edge can be turned off
7:35
I can, I think I hold it. Well, there is a way to turn that light off. I'm pretty sure I tap and hold
7:49
It's not working right now. That's life with demos. So you can turn all of it off. And then when it's
7:54
time to wake up, your alarm can come up gently from a very soft
7:59
volume your lights can come up the clock turns on it's such a pleasant
8:04
experience compared to that when when what of an alarm where it's just like the
8:10
worst way to wake up so sorry hot moon we're gonna just take a break here and
8:16
not much else I can tell you I think the app is beautifully designed I think it
8:21
you know it all works very seamlessly it was really easy to pair and this This looks honestly a lot like something that Amazon would make as part of their Alexa line
8:32
But it is, of course, a different design. If I have any critique, I will say that it has on the back USBC
8:42
And then there's a USBC to USBA cable that probably could be a couple of feet longer
8:48
This is, as you can see, a pretty short cable. unless you have a plug, because you will need to plug in a charger
8:55
unless you have a plug exactly behind where this is going to be on a chest of drawers or something
9:02
then you will end up having to find a different cable to make your life a little bit easier
9:07
But that's honestly my only complaint. Otherwise, I think that their packaging is great
9:13
There's so much to like here. I am a huge fan of sound machines
9:17
and I really like the design of this because it's just, Again, all of this should contribute to you feeling less stress and more calm and more able to drift away in sleep
9:31
And that's exactly what this device does. Definitely one that's worth checking out
9:36
Now, before we get to price, I'm going to ask you to subscribe to my channel
9:40
Click on that subscribe button. Boom. Thank you. Give me that bell icon for notifications and a thumbs up if this was a value
9:47
And I hope that it was. Cool. This is the Hot Moon Cacoon Pro sound machine
9:54
It comes in black or you can get it in white and it is 5999 currently minus 20% dropping it down to 4799 at Amazon.com
10:07
That is a no-brainer price for something that's this elegant. This is perfect for the nursery or your child's room
10:15
This is amazing if you travel. Imagine having this in a hotel room instead of hearing
10:19
all the weird noises and the ice machine and the elevator and the drunk people in the hallway
10:25
way better. But this is just as nice in your own bedroom or even in your office
10:29
If you're just in a noisy environment, having something like this really gives you the chance
10:35
to sort of focus and be in your own world, which is something we probably need a little bit more of
10:41
So it's everything I got. I think I'm going to go back to this extremely calm music
10:49
And I will look forward to catching you in my next video
