Much to my surprise, Google’s suddenly started including an “advertise on this site” link on my Google AdSense blocks. I don’t so much mind, but I would like to know how to customize or tweak the page that Google is showing when someone clicks on that link. Is that doable?
It’s not so obvious, but yes, you can customize the color, text, and even the logo shown on the Google “Advertise on This Site” page (it’s called Onsite Advertiser Sign-Up by Google, by the way) that people are seeing. Here’s how to tweak it:
Sign in to your Google AdSense account, then click on the My Account tab and scroll down until you see:
Now, click on the cheery blue edit link and you’ll see:
As you can see, there’s quite a variety of tweaking you can do, from your site name to your logo, site description, colors, and so on. Note that Google recommends you change these values from the default to make them more appealing to potential advertisers.
You can see the defaults here, but if you click on my own “Advertise on this site” link, you’ll see the customizations I’ve made. Nothing earth-shattering, I admit, but hopefully helpful for potential advertisers who are interested in helping underwrite the cost of running this site.
Hope that gets you going with the customization you seek. Good luck!
