I’ve watched my Mac friends blithely save Web pages as PDF documents so they can share them with colleagues and I want to be able to do the same from within Windows 7 on my PC. Is there a way I can “save as type PDF” or “save as pdf” or similar?

I am a newbie when it comes to digital photography and while I’ve finally figured out how to get photos onto my Dell laptop from my Sony camera, I can’t figure out how to take the next step and get actual prints of my favorite pictures. I don’t want to actually buy a photo printer, I just want to send them to the local photo store to make some 4×6 prints. I’m running Windows 7 and my digital camera is a little WX150.
I’ve been trying to trim down my hard drive by removing big files. Easy enough, except there are some directories where I’m puzzled that the total directory size is 10MB or larger, but when I look in the directory it’ll just have a couple of 20-35Kb files. Where’s all that disk space going? Hidden files?
A friend was telling me that the Windows 7 calculator app has a ton of hidden features, including the ability to calculate the number of days between dates and the ability to easily compute monthly mortgage payments for purchasing a house or car. My husband and I are actually getting ready to buy a house and having a mortgage calculator on my Win7 PC would be darn helpful. Can you show me how to unlock the hidden calculator features?
It’s so frustrating! I just plugged my new Kindle Fire HD into my computer and… nothing. The device shows up on my Windows 7 system, but I can’t get to the files within. What am I doing wrong? I really want to drop some photos onto the device to share with friends…
I just got an iPhone 4s. Yeah, two days before the iPhone 5 was announced. Thanks, Apple salesperson for not bothering to mention I might want to wait a few days. Anyway, I have it now and am trying to figure out the easiest way to get photos off the iPhone and onto my Win7 laptop. What’s your solution?
I’m tired of paying for virus updates from McAfee and I don’t really trust AVG’s free version. My professor recommended I try Microsoft’s Security Essentials as an alternative and I’m interested, but can’t find it in my Windows 7 Home Essentials package. So how do I get it running and if I need to download it, where should I go to do that?
I’ve been looking at the Taskbar on my Windows 7 system pretty closely and realize that a lot of the icons shown are useless and just take up space. Prime example: The little speaker icon that lets me change audio output volume. But I have a “volume up” and “volume down” button on my computer, so why do I need that? Can I remove some of these stupid icons?
