I’m baffled. I created a 720p HD video that I uploaded to YouTube just now, but when the site made the video available to view, it was only in non-high-def resolutions of 360p and lower. What happened to the HD resolutions and how do I get this to work properly?
I do a lot of research and recently have needed to search news sources online. I can do Google searches, but then have to weed through all the miscellaneous junk to find stories from reputable journalism sources. It’s a pain. Is there a smarter way to do searches? I just wish there was a “.news” domain or something for the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, LA Times, etc.
I often find myself as the power online shopper in my circle of friends. Probably something to do with the fact that I spend just about every waking hour on my computer. When I do find something that a friend or two might be interested in, what’s the easiest way to share it? I’ve been copying the URL and those can be crazy long and often don’t work when received.
Okay, I accept that without a third party add-on I’m never going to see my beloved Start Menu again. I can adjust. But is there at least a simple way to get to my full app or application list from the Start Screen in Win8?
I read the other day that it’s now possible to embed Facebook posts and status updates on your own blog, effectively having a tiny window into your Facebook profile right there on whatever page you’d like. Sounds great, but how do I accomplish this neat little FB trick?
I’ve given my kids my old iPod Nano and they’ve been taking all sorts of videos with it. Now they tell me that some of them are good and they want to upload them to YouTube. Except while I know how to get an iPhone video on the site [see my tutorial: Upload iPhone videos to YouTube for details -Dave] I have no idea how to get the video off the iPod and onto my iMac.
I don’t know if you can help me with this one, Dave, but I’m part of the iOS Developer Program at Apple and am stumped. I need to install a new “configuration profile” on both my iPhone 5 and iPad Mini as part of the iOS 7 beta program but frankly have no idea how to do so. I’ve searched the developer site but haven’t found anything that offers assistance. Help!
I have a fan page on Facebook and want to be able to post photos to the timeline, but not immediately. Is it possible to defer or schedule these posts or status updates on my Facebook fan page, Dave?
