View your favorite Netflix Movies?

I'm a long-time member of Netflix and have rated hundreds of movies, even those I didn't actually rent from Netflix itself. Is there any way for me to review my ratings list and see, for example, those films I rated with five stars?

Dave's Answer:

While Netflix is a great service and truly one of those rare business models that just wouldn't exist at all without the Internet, it's also become a bit tricky to navigate due to the complexity of the interface.

I've been a Netflix member since February 2002 (sheesh!) so I've had a chance to dig around and find all those neat hidden corners, however, and I know exactly what you're talking about!

To find your ratings list, log in to Netflix and click on the "Your Account" link on the very top right corner of the screen. You'll be taken, logically, to the "Your Account" screen, and on the right column near the middle of the page, you'll see:

Netflix Rating Activity

You might well have more or less ratings, reviews written, etc. The key link here, however, is "View All" in the top right of this box. Click on it and suddenly you're looking at a list of all movies you've ever rated!

Netflix Movies Rated

My list goes on and on, but notice on the top right that I have mine sorted by Star Rating: that's what you want too, so that your Five Star movies bubble to the top of the resultant list.

Hope that helps you figure out how to work with Netflix. Even if you aren't much of a movie buff, check it out. I find it quite interesting to keep track of what films I like year in and year out, then go back and watch them again to see if I can remember why I gave something like Sexy Beast or My Best Friend's Wedding one star, while I thought that The Conversation and Foyle's War are strong five star ratings.

Why *did* you only give Sexy Beast one star? I quite liked it.

I would like to add two movies to the list I drew up months ago. They are "The Luzhin Defence"and "Zemsta.""
