Why Can't I See My Customized MySpace Profile?

I copy and pasted a myspace layout for my profile. I think other people can see the new layout but I can't see it my self when I sign in. Why is that? Is it because I have a mac?

Let's start right out by easing any possible tension or controversy: it has nothing to do with you being a Macintosh owner. MySpace works equally well (or poorly, depending on time of day) if you have a Mac, PC, Linux box, Xbox360, Motorola Q phone or aluminum can and piece of string. Well, maybe not the can and string!

The issue you're talking about is one that I was darn confused by when I first started using MySpace too, actually, where I'd make changes to my profile and some of them would show up when I clicked on the "HOME" button, but others would seemingly be ignored.

The important fact to realize is that your home is not your MySpace profile but rather a special version of the profile with edit links and other navigational elements that only you would want to access (you don't want me being able to access your 'friend invites' list and approving people who don't actually want as friends, for example!)

So here's how you get to the public version of your profile. Log in, get to your usual page, and notice that just under your picture are a small set of buttons:

If you click on the word profile on the very bottom, you'll find that the "public version" of your profile is displayed, rather than the special owner version you usually see. Now you should be able to see if your fancy formatting worked or not.

I got some myspace backgrounds from another site- and they are really cool, the only problem is that the boxes on the left with favorite movies, etc. are cut off- it only shows about half of them starting with the movies and doesn't show any boxes below it until my schools box. Dalton, hate to say it, but are you sure you're looking at YOUR profile when experience that? Also, note that "under 18" and "over 18" are different worlds on MySpace, so if you're logged in to an over 18 account and are searching for an under-18 profile, that might cause problems too.

I have a solution to one problem some of you mention...and I have a problem of my own that some of you also have.

First - If you're unable to login to MySpace and it opens a blank page, leaving your login page as is...I found a solution that worked for me (IE7/Vista). Go to Your Internet Explorer "Tools", click "Internet Options", then the "Advanced" tab. You'll need to "Reset" your Internet Explorer settings. You may want to note some of the current settings in case you want to put some things back the way they were. This worked for me and I can finally login to MySpace from my laptop. Yay!

Now for MY problem: Awhile after getting my Dell laptop with Vista, my MySpace profile stopped displaying completely. The "About Me" section is cut off about 4 inches down, "Who I'd Like To Meet" doesn't show up at all. My "Friends" section looks fine. My "Comments" section is cut off after several inches. One fix that was suggested was to disable all add-ons, which I tried with no success. I've deleted all cache, temp. internet files, etc.

This has been going on for over a year and I've yet to find a solution.

On other computers, I can see the profile in its entirety. I've tried using Foxfire on my laptop and the problem is even worse...the text and pictures aren't visible at all, all I can see is colors.

I just bought a new dell laptop, and due to the security settings, it will not show about half of the pics on myspace, including my profile and comments I get from friends. Plus, the video that plays on my profile does not even show up. When I pull up myspace on another laptop that I have, everything works fine, so it's not the links or anything that I've done. Not sure how that would be a hardware setting, Kirk. Instead, dig around in the privacy and security settings in your Web browser and/or try grabbing a different browser (for example, http://www.getfirefox.com/) and see what happens.

I used to use Explorer 7 but updated to Explorer 8.0. I can go to any web site but MySpace and my Hotmail has become really, really slow! Well i edited my myspace profile and like now i can't see my Music player w|o or w| a layout. and though but all my myspace friends can see my music player. i am the only one who can't see itit doesn't show up on my page. and i can't see other peoples music player on their profile. PLEASE HELP (:

I want to get back my titles on top. View, edit. navigator bars ect. on the top of the page again. I once knew how too.I need to temporarily get them on top and do it fast but have lost my directions. I change the navigation menu check. Thanks, Bobby

Hi, I too am having problems viewing my myspace profile, I can log in and see the home page and edit link ect, but when I click any of the profile buttons it shows just a white page. I have contacted myspace several times regarding this and have never had a return answer, I have also tried doing a name search (Restless Gypsy) on search engine's and it does show it but again when I click on it nothing happens so I am stumped lol, I hope you could maybe give me a hand on this before I lose my mind haha.
