Teach Yourself Unix System Administration in 24 Hours
Teach Yourself Unix System Administration in 24 Hours from Sams/Macmillan is my latest published book. Not only is this a sequel to my best-selling Teach Yourself Unix in 24 Hours but rather than focus on a single OS, the SysAdmin book simultaneously documents Red Hat Linux, Solaris 8, and the popular Mac OS X system.
Between the three operating systems, all major schools of Unix are represented. This title also includes lots of cool shell scripts and focuses on real problems and practical solutions. We expect that the book will fill a wide variety of needs in the Unix community!
A solid prequel to this book is Teach Yourself Unix in 24 Hours, and a good follow-on book that focuses exclusively on shell scripts is Wicked Cool Shell Scripts.
