A friend of mine gave me a copy of the movie Tomb Raider (I already own the DVD, but I want to watch it on my iPhone 3GS while at the gym) and I can't figure out what to do with it. The file is in ".avi" format and when I double-click on it I get an error from QuickTime Player, and have no idea how to copy it onto my phone. HELP!

I think that the Apple iTunes Music Store is very cool and it's nice to be able to buy episodes of TV shows, but they don't have the shows I like to watch, like The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Sopranos and Sex in the City. I have a TiVO unit so I can record them, but how do I get the shows from my TiVO to my iPod? I'm using a Mac, if it matters.

How can I copy a DVD from my G4 powerbook (I have pocketmac pro) to my I-mate Jam phone which uses windows Pocket PC? I'm familiar with Mac the Ripper but I don't know how I can convert the files to ones that my phone can read, I'm really confused regarding what mp4 setting to use (most available softwares are for ipod conversion eg. MovieToGo)
