I have a Personal Hotspot set up with my iPhone 4 via AT&T and it's very nice, but I have heard that running it as a wifi hotspot actually eats up battery, so I'd like to use it as a tethered USB connection because it'll also charge my phone at the same time. Is that possible, and if so, how do I set it up?

I took the plunge and added "personal hotspot" service to my AT&T iPhone and it seems pretty cool, but I'm not sure of the best way to tap into the personal hotspot wifi with my new iPad 2. I'm a bit afraid to just mess things up. Got any tips?

I'm so excited about the new iOS 4.3 update from Apple for my iPhone 4! Now I understand that even as an AT&T user, I can set it up to work just like a mifi personal hotspot and let me connect other devices ("tether") so they can get on the Internet through my iPhone Internet connection. Cool! How do I set this up?
