How do I tell Internet Explorer to trust a security certificate?
Here's an interesting mystery for you: I wrote an article with this title back in 2005, with the original question thusly:
"Dave, I was hoping you could help on this really security alert that keeps on coming up every time I go on the Internet. The alert states the following:
Information you exchange with this site cannot be viewed or changed by others. However, there is a problem with the site's security certificate. The security certificate was issued by a company you have chosen not to trust. View the certificate to determine whether you want to trust the certifying authority. The certificate is valid and the security certificate has a valid name matching the name of the page you are trying to view.
I would be very grateful if you could help stop this security alert from appearing in future."

On two separate computers, I have tried to change my Search Provider on Internet Explorer 7 by (1) chosing the option on required settings page, (2) right clicking on the search icon to change/add defalt search provider, and (3) using the TEST option. Each time, I get a message at the bottom of the page that says "(!) Error on Page". Please help. I HATE Bing!

How can I delete my browsing history in Microsoft Internet Explorer 8?
My mom keeps checking out what sites I visit and I want to clean up my tracks. It's not that I'm going anywhere I shouldn't - of course - but I just really want some privacy and just want to be able to wipe my MSIE8 (Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0) browsing history. How do I do that?

CrossOver: A Must-Try Windows Tool for Mac Users
This is a guest article, written by Tim Beyers.
Rarely do I need access to Windows programs. For the times when I do, I've switched from a Parallels virtual machine running XP to CodeWeavers' CrossOver for Mac, a virtual environment that simulates the Win32 API, one program at a time.
What CrossOver for Mac is
CrossOver is built on the open source Wine project, which proposes to re-implement the Windows architecture for Unix. Thus, systems that draw from a Unix kernel -- Mac OS X and Linux, notably -- can use Wine to run Windows programs as if they were native to the underlying architecture.

How do I update Firefox on my Windows XP system?
I used to use Internet Explorer and while I had Firefox too, MSIE was my favorite. Now that Google Chrome is out, however, I've switched. My question, though, is since I don't run Firefox on my WinXP computer too often how can I nonetheless ensure that it's always the very latest version?

How do I sort my Favorites in MS Internet Explorer?
I have about 4,000 sites bookmarked and arranged into folders etc. The problem is that I want them arranged alphabetically.
I can arrange them any way I like in Windows Explorer, but that arrangement does not affect them when I click on the "Favourites" in IE. I think they did it automatically in 5.5, but it is really cheesing me off having to keep dragging them manually into alphabetic order.
