I'm supposed to meet my friends at a restaurant in Washington DC later in the month but don't want to appear clueless by asking where it is and how to get to it. I have the Internet, right? So how do I use something like Google Maps or Mapquest to get directions from my hotel when I only know the name of the restaurant?

My boss has me working on our company Web site and she wants me to add a box on our "contact us" page that lets people type in their address and at the click of a button bring up a window with driving directions from their location to our office. Is that even possible?

I've seen some professional service provider sites that include a nice little map within their About page, a map that actually hooks up to Mapquest or similar. I much prefer Google Maps, but am stuck: is there some way to actually embed a Google Map on my Web page or, for that matter, my MySpace profile?
