Dave: How do I remove Keynote files i have loaded on iTunes, I am not able to delete them. The delete option in iTunes is inactive.

I have a bunch of bands and musicians I follow faithfully and when I see that there's a new CD coming out from one of them, I'd love to just have it show up on my iPod when it's released without having to think about it again. Yeah, I could wait until my friends tell me about the new Nine Inch Nails or P. Diddy release, but I want to be first in the digital line. Is this doable with iTunes?

Google has jumped into the cloud music fray with an interesting, though rather crude, offering of its own called Google Music, and I decided that it'd be darn helpful to have all of my almost 9000 songs available to me anywhere I was online, through just about any Web device.

I spend way too much of my life in meetings and sometimes it'd be very helpful to be able to make an audio recording or "audio memo" of the meeting. I have an iPhone 4s and my husband has an iPhone 4. Can either / both of them record audio or do I need to get a dedicated recording device?

Some forty years ago I played with an "old time" string band. We performed at a concert, a reel to reel tape of which has recently surfaced and been converted to a CD which I have downloaded onto my iTunes. The tunes, now part of a play list, show as "track 1", "track 2", etc. and I can`t for the life of me figure out how to add titles. "Grace Notes" is of no help. Let me sneak in a second question. Another old tape to CD has been put into iTunes (twice!) and I can`t find the thing anywhere! Ideas? Thanks so much for helping out an old geezer who should probably be kept at a distance from anything more complicated than a dial phone.....

I don't know what my son did when he was installing his latest game, but when I put music CDs into my Dell PC (running Microsoft Windows 7 if it matters) the Zune Player app is launched rather than my preferred application Windows Media Player. It's frustrating and when I went to change the default programs [ed note: see Change Default Programs in Windows 7] I couldn't see anything for music CDs. How do I fix this?

I have a CD that a musician friend of mine sent and I am eager to listen to it, but it's all in some weird format that my iMac can't understand: "FLAC". What is FLAC format and how do I convert it to a format that iTunes (and my iPod) will understand?

When we moved into new offices it became clear that it was also time to move beyond wires for our audio setup. Having things hanging down from the walls, having to plug devices in, having to worry about compatible charging docks, it all seemed so darn 20th Century. The quest was on for a really good wireless audio solution, so that's what we had on our minds when we attended the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show.

While Apple's AirPlay was getting good visibility at CES this year, the problem was that the gear we could find was more aimed at bedside tables and desks than audiophile-level multi-speaker devices that could be wall mounted and enjoyed by everyone.

When we bumped into audioengine, however, things became interesting. They sell audiophile-level bookshelf speakers and a small amplifier that makes the tiniest of iPods sound like a fancy hi-fi system, while still having a remarkably small footprint: the P4 speakers are only 9" high by 5" wide and 6" deep, and the N22 amplifier is 7" x 3" x 5" deep. Tiny. With sound far beyond what you would expect.

And it's pretty darn sweet.

I'm so psyched to get an Apple iPod after all this time, and now that I've figured out how to get some music on it, want to also put a movie on the device so I can try out watching it on the tiny screen during my commute. How do I add a movie to my iPod?? I'm on a PC running Windows 7 if that's important.

I read about the addition of a new feature called AirPlay with the latest update to iOS, the operating system on my AppleTV unit (and my iPad, if I'm correct), but for the life of me, I can't find it nor can I figure out how to use it. Supposedly I can push audio directly from my computer or iPad to my AppleTV, but I'm lost. Can you help?

I listen to a lot of audio books on my train commute into Boston, buying used CDs and ripping them into iTunes, then copying them onto my iPhone. Problem is, I can end up with 80, 90, 100 or more tracks and sometimes it's crazy how they aren't played in order, driving me insane! Not good. I have heard that there's a better way to import audio books into iTunes, something about consolidating or merging tracks, but don't know how to do it. Do you know this secret, Dave?

I want to give my daughter my old iPhone so she can use it as an iPod Touch sort of device and am concerned that she'll listen to material that doesn't meet my approval as a parent. What I'd like is to put some sort of limiter or lock on the phone so that any music that is marked as having explicit lyrics is skipped or prevented from playing. Possible?

I watched the latest Apple announcements and was pretty impressed by the different things that Steve Jobs talked about, but the one that caught my attention was the iPhone Application Genius recommendation service. I'm a bit of an app-aholic, so I like to see what's new, but with tens of thousands in the iTunes app store, well, a recommendation service seems like a great idea. How do I use it?

My kids are really into High School Musical and Miley Cyrus, to the point where we bought them the soundtrack and they promptly broke the CD squabbling over it. Searched for a few things on your site and I hit pay dirt! Thank you. I'm am nonetheless uncertain on how to pick a MP3 player. I don't know what factors to take into consideration in order to guide my choice. What do you suggest? I'll use it mostly to listen to music on the train as I commute to work. I'm no tech wiz and one of the first things I'll need to master is how to download, so a complicated gizmo won't work out for me. Just got a new Apple iPhone and bought a movie from the Apple iTunes Store so I can watch it on the phone, but it fails with "computer is not authorized to watch this movie", even though I bought it and originally downloaded it on my Mac. What the heck? How do I authorize my computer?

Through some stupid moves on my part, I now have a trashed Mac and an iPod that is full of music. Problem is, every time I hook up the iPod to any other computer, iTunes promptly wants to empty it and reformat it, which would stink because i have tons of music and even some movies on the unit. This is driving me wacky! I have a ton of music in iTunes and also have a couple of audio books. All well and good, but when I'm in shuffle mode, everything in the iTunes music library is fair game, which means that every so often my party groove is suddenly interrupted with the fifth track of Harry Potter or something equally wacked. I'm a huge fan of Apple's iTunes music player and am pretty darn excited to see the new iTunes 7 release that includes movies, games, and so much more. Most interestingly, it now has some new views of the library that are darn reminiscent of a jukebox. But I don't have artwork for any of my albums!
