I was curious as to why my banner ad reports don't match up with my google analytics visitors. For instance, my recent report shows 1200 clicks on banner ads, but the referring visits from the banners on GA only shows 500 visits.
I've been building a celebrity blog and want to add a simple feature where readers can get the filmography and latest projects for movie stars like Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. So what I want is to have pre-defined searches (on IMDB, preferably) for specified actors and actresses and also allow users to type in another name if they'd like. How do I do that??
I think we're kindred spirits, Dave. I spend way too much of my time on the Internet Movie DB and would like to cut out a step: is there any way in Firefox that I can have the little search box on the address bar go directly to IMDB?
Can you help me settle a bet? A friend of mine has bet me that there are more than a hundred recorded versions of the song Fly Me to The Moon, but I think they're in the twilight zone. I mean, there's no way that's the case, even if it's super-popular, which it isn't. But we're stumped: how do you answer this sort of question?
Help me settle a bet, please! Is there any way to figure out how many films have used Disneyland in California as a set or location? I know that there have been millions of TV shows (especially on the ABC network, but that's another story) but have no idea how to figure out an actual number. Ideas?
Is Kevin Eldon a member of the band Kraftwerk or an actor? I have a bet with a pal and we're just not sure. Many thanks for your assistance, oh wise guru!
