How do I install an ad blocker in Google Chrome?
I like Google Chrome as a browser but all the pop-up ads are driving me crazy. I'm used to the blocking capabilities built in to Firefox and just can't find them. I think I just need to install an extension to do this and am wondering if you have a recommendation for a Google Chrome extension that can block advertisement pop-ups, and if so, how to install it?

How can I get and enable Google Gmail Desktop Notifications?
I've been hearing that Google's introduced a desktop notification system in Gmail where if you get a new chat or a new email, a little window pops up. Sounds cool, and I do sometimes miss timely messages because I'm not paying attention, so how do I download it and install it into my PC or Web browser?

Can I keep my PC and Mac bookmarks in sync with Mobile Me?
I run Internet Explorer on my work PC and Firefox on my Mac at home and would love to have their bookmarks stay in sync. I have a Mobile Me account that I got with my Mac and seem to recall that can work with Windows systems too. Can that be used to keep my browser bookmarks in sync across Windows 7 and Mac OS X?

Can I block pop-up windows in Google Chrome?
I recently switched from Safari on my Mac to Google Chrome as my primary Web browser, and I really like the themes and the speed - seems a lot faster! - but Safari has a nice pop-up blocker and Chrome doesn't. Isn't there some way to stop pop-up windows in Google Chrome, maybe through an extension or plug-in?

How do I copy my Firefox bookmarks into Safari?
I'm probably going backwards compared to most people, but I have been using Firefox and am tired of it crashing all the time, so I want to go back to Safari on my MacBook. Problem is, I don't know how to copy across my bookmarks bar and it's pretty tweaked for the way I browse.

Can Google Maps figure out my current location?
I love the fact that when I look at maps on my smartphone (a Droid X) it automatically centers to my current location. That's super useful to me. Is there an equivalent mechanism that works for laptops so that I can click a button and have a map of my current location appear? I prefer Google Maps, if that makes a difference...

How do I remove a duplicate place in Foursquare?
I went to check in to a local bar in Foursquare and was rather surprised to find that it existed twice in their database as a venue. That can't be good. Is there some way to clean that up or otherwise fix things so that there's one venue?

Can I export my Gmail filters?
Over time I have become reliant on Google's Gmail service, but it strikes me that if I were to ever bail on it, I'd have a hard time rebuilding all of my email rules. Even if not, it'd be helpful to migrate my rules from one account to another. Except, as usual, there's no way to do that. Or is there a way to export and import Gmail mail filters?

Why are there so many Web Browsers?
For the last few years it seemed like Web browsers were becoming passe commodities and that we were going to end up with a browser from each operating system company and one indie browser, Firefox. Now, though, seems like there are tons of 'em. What's worth checking out and why is there such a resurgence of interest in the Web browser?
