I'm digging Google Chrome, but I really want to have a different skin or theme. Is that possible, and if so, what's the easiest way to do so?

I like Google Chrome as a browser but all the pop-up ads are driving me crazy. I'm used to the blocking capabilities built in to Firefox and just can't find them. I think I just need to install an extension to do this and am wondering if you have a recommendation for a Google Chrome extension that can block advertisement pop-ups, and if so, how to install it?

I recently switched from Safari on my Mac to Google Chrome as my primary Web browser, and I really like the themes and the speed - seems a lot faster! - but Safari has a nice pop-up blocker and Chrome doesn't. I went to check in to a local bar in Foursquare and was rather surprised to find that it existed twice in their database as a venue. That can't be good. Is there some way to clean that up or otherwise fix things so that there's one venue?

Over time I have become reliant on Google's Gmail service, but it strikes me that if I were to ever bail on it, I'd have a hard time rebuilding all of my email rules.
