I am re-asking the question entitled "How do I disable my windows startup sound?" I think that the question was not phrased well enough to understand the problem. And, I'd also like a solution to this problem if you have one.
The noise to which I'm referring is the one at the initial Sony Vaio splash screen. It plays *before* the LILO boot on my dual machine. So, it must be somehow hardwired into the system boot.
