Quickly convert text to all lowercase in Safari?
I'm fixing up some data records in our customer database and find that I am constantly converting uppercase letters to lowercase letters. The entire system is Web-based, so I'm working in Mac Safari. Is there some way to speed things up or automate the conversion of the text?

How can I get and enable Google Gmail Desktop Notifications?
I've been hearing that Google's introduced a desktop notification system in Gmail where if you get a new chat or a new email, a little window pops up. Sounds cool, and I do sometimes miss timely messages because I'm not paying attention, so how do I download it and install it into my PC or Web browser?

Can I block pop-up windows in Google Chrome?
I recently switched from Safari on my Mac to Google Chrome as my primary Web browser, and I really like the themes and the speed - seems a lot faster! - but Safari has a nice pop-up blocker and Chrome doesn't. Isn't there some way to stop pop-up windows in Google Chrome, maybe through an extension or plug-in?

How do I get "top Sites" bookmarks to stick around in Safari?
I use Safari on my MacBook and have noticed something really frustrating with how it handles bookmarks in the "Topsites" area: they don't stick around! When I quit the app and restart it, the pages I've saved as topsite bookmarks have vanished. What's the story and how do I get topsites to work properly, Dave?

How do I read RSS feeds with Apple Safari on Mac OS X?
I've been using a separate application to keep track of all my RSS channels on my Apple iMac, but now that I just downloaded the shiny new Safari 4 browser from Apple, I'd like to switch over to using its built-in RSS reader. Problem is, I can see how to read an RSS feed, but I can't see much else of how to work with RSS within the browser.

How do you resume an interrupted download in Apple Safari?
Dave, you've said in a different article (see Download managers that allow resumption of interrupted downloads) that Apple's Safari browser has that as an option for its download manager. Just right-click on an interrupted download in the "Download Window". I'm a bit confused, because I have Safari on a Mac with OSX tiger. When I control-click there is NO option in the window to resume download. Please clarify as you said Safari can do this. How can i resume an interrupted download?

How can I download Apple's Safari 4 Beta?
I've been reading on the various weblogs and sites about Apple releasing a new beta of a pretty radically different Safari web browser. But as is typical, they don't include any links and I don't really know how to go about finding it and downloading it if I want to experiment.
