I have a ton of pictures on my new iPhone 5 already and would like to start organizing things a bit better. How hard is it to add a new photo gallery and move specific photos into that rather than have everything just jammed into "Camera Roll"?
I like the iCloud service that lets me automatically synchronize photos between my different Apple products, my iPhone, iPad and MacBook, but while it works surprisingly well (just like the ad!) there are definitely some photos that I don't want to have shared across everything. Can I delete individual photos from the photostream?
I enabled the Apple iCloud service "Photo Stream" on my iPhone, but the pictures don't magically show up on my MacBook Pro like they do in the TV advert. Presumably, there's something I have to do for it to work on my Mac. What's the trick? And is there a Photo Stream app??
I'm a professional photographer and in the old days, I'd share sets of photos with clients by sending them proof sheets, a single print that would have ten or more thumbnails on it. Now I'm working digital and there's a lot I like about the change, but I haven't figured out how to create PDF proof sheets or contact sheets to send to clients. What's the easiest way to do this in Aperture?
I take a lot of photos. So many that Aperture is starting to bog down. I was talking with a fellow photographer and he said that he splits his Aperture library every six months. Sounds like a good idea. How do I create a new Aperture library or, better, move a project into a new library?
I've seen your earlier article about using Image Capture to get photos off an iPhone 4 onto my Mac OS X system, but it doesn't seem to work right. Sometimes I hook it up and it just doesn't see the newest photos, as if it's remembering a previous version of my photo library on the iPhone. Is there an alternative?
I find myself in a situation where I want to share a few galleries of photographs with clients, but don't want to send them the originals -- that's my lifeblood as a pro. In the old days, I'd be showing them a contact sheet or proof sheet, but now that it's all digital, I'm a bit stuck. Can I produce a contact sheet within Aperture?
I've used iPhoto for a long time on my iMac and one of its best features is the ability to select a pile of photos and share them with my Facebook friends. I've recently shifted to Aperture and like its additional power and capabilities but can't get it to connect with my Facebook account any more. If it matters, I did set up the Facebook 2-step verification security, as you recommended. Are these related?
I've had all sorts of problems with my photo upload tool and now have a bunch of orphaned and one-picture photo albums on my Facebook account. How can I fix that or just delete the unwanted albums?
