How can I test my Internet connectivity bandwidth speed?
I'm skeptical of my Internet provider. They claim that I have a turbo high speed Internet connection and as far as I can tell, it's just as slow as the connection I use at school. That's bogus. How do I tell or test my actual connection speed so I can know whether I have a good deal or whether they're just lying to me?

How can I track visitors to my Web page?
I don't have a blog, I don't have a fancy Web site and I don't have a profile on MySpace or Facebook, but I do get people coming to my simple little four-page Web site and I'd like to learn more about them. My sister says I want to run some "analytics" program, but I'm clueless. I can edit HTML, but what do I add?

How can I track shortened URL links in Twitter?
I'm becoming a Twitter power user and find it a pretty simple way to broadcast information about my upcoming product sales and related. Problem is, I'm also curious about what information can be gleaned from the shortened URLs I have to use, including ideally some Google Analytics-like geographic data. Is that even possible?

How do I approach a local advertiser to have their ads on my blog?
I wanted to reach out to a local movie theater to see if they woud pay me a small fee to keep a banner ad for their films/theaters on my movie reviews site. Even if it's a few pennies I'd be ok with it ... better than nada. I have their pr contact for the ad divsion ... any tips on proceeding?
