Should I buy you two cups of chai, or one for your wife too?

Dave, whats the difference between buying you two cups of chai, or your wife and you one each? I'm talking about the "Buy Dave A Chai" page on your site, of course.

Dave's Answer:

In two words: marital harmony.

More seriously, let me make a little plug here that unlike big companies like Microsoft or individual vendor support sites like Symantec, we here at Ask Dave Taylor really do live off the generosity of our visitors.

If you find yourself coming to our site with some frequency, if you are getting more out of your computers, cellphones, PSPs, iPods and other gadgets thanks to our assistance, why not say thank you in that inimitably capitalistic way of sending a few doubloons our way? You can do that by just sending us a donation, but that's boring, isn't it?

How much more fun for you to know that the next time I sit down to work on answering a few questions in the queue that the cup of coffee, tea, or, yes, spiced chai I'm drinking is thanks to your generosity? Heck, if you were all here in Colorado, we could just meet at Bookends or another hip café, but the Internet's a global community and sometimes going online is the best you can do.

Buy Dave A Chai! You know you want to!

And, as you can see, if you're feeling really appreciative, you can opt to either buy me two chai's, or ensure continuing marital harmony by buying a chai for my wife too. :-)

I have a lot to say, but ...
Starbucks coffee cup I have a lot to say, and questions of my own for that matter, but most of all I'd like to say thank you for all your efforts on this Web site by buying you a chai!

I do have a comment, now that you mention it!
