Is Kevin Eldon a member of the band Kraftwerk? Is Kevin Eldon a member of the band Kraftwerk or an actor? I have a bet with a pal and we're just not sure. Many thanks for your assistance, oh wise guru! This is a classic Google search, actually, so let's see what we can find... First off, a search for "Kevin Eldon" reveals a number of different people with this name, but the #1 match is Kevin Eldon, BBC Comedian. That, of course, suggests that Kevin is indeed an actor of some ilk! There's also a Kevin Eldon who is on the management team at RDF Management, but I'm sure he's not who you seek. A bit further down on the search results list is a link for a site that's a great place to learn about actors: The Internet Movie Database. It's actually now owned by our friends at Amazon.com too! Here's the IMDB Entry for Kevin Eldon which, again, reaffirms that Kevin's an actor. Among his fifty TV appearances are roles in Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, Combat Sheep, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Okay, that settles that. But who was actually in the pop band Kraftwerk anyway? That's another job for Google! Search for members of the band Kraftwerk and the very first match is the Kraftwerk FAQ: Members of the band Kraftwerk. Click on it and we find that: "Presently the line-up is the following: Ralf Hütter, Henning Schmitz, Fritz Hilpert, Florian Schneider. This is the order from left to right as they stand on the stage. (Henning Schmitz's name is mentioned on the inner sleeve of the album Electric Cafe from 1986, Fritz Hilpert's name is mentioned on the inner sleeve of the album The Mix from 1991) Fernando Abrantes performed during the 1991 tour, to be replaced later by Henning Schmitz." As you can see, there's no Kevin Eldon on the list, so unless Kevin has a stage name for his musical work, we're going to have to conclude that he's an actor, not a member of the band Kraftwerk. Hope that helps settle your bet!
