I use Technorati Tags, but don't show up on Technorati?I have a blog, www.globalcctvhub.com and I have set up tags to link through Technorati. On first glance, the tags on your site look fine. You have: <a href="http://technorati.com/tag/CCTV" rel="tag">CCTV</a>
while Technorati recommends: ![]() Looks character-for-character identical to me. Digging further into the Technorati help system, I found this: "Once you have posted the tagged post, there are two ways to have your post included on a Technorati Tag page:
"Your post should appear on the page in a few minutes (up to an hour during periods of intense activity)." So I'm thinking that either your postings are showing up and you're just not seeing them, or that you just aren't telling Technorati that you've updated your weblog with new content. The former can be easily checked: a search on Technorati for any content from your weblog shows that Technorati is only aware of three postings in the last 20 days: Mad About Shanghai, Snow Blankets Shanghai, and A few days difference. A quick peek at those reveal that they're actually a different weblog, Mad About Shanghai, that has a matching tagline. Meaning that Technorati has quite simply never heard of your weblog or indexed any of your entries! To fix this, you can either manually pop over to Technorati and ask them to visit your weblog on their manual ping page, or you can automate the process by adding the following to your notification/ping list in your blogging tool: http://rpc.technorati.com/rpc/ping That should solve the problem of the missing Technorati Tag matches!

Unfortunately I had already done all of those things you described. If you go back to www.globalcctvhub.com and have a look at the post I have just written, you will see some screen shots I just took showing all of those steps and more having been taken to try and get indexed. Nothing has worked as yet - any more indepth info would be appreciated because you sure can't rely on the Technorati guys to offer any help. Many thanks, Brad Posted by: Brad at March 9, 2006 8:54 PMHi Dave, Your blog seems to have lot of useful information. I am facing a similar problem. I am using WordPress 2.5 for my blog and use a plug-in 'Simple Tags' for creating the Technorati Tags. I have configured by blog to automatically ping Technorati. In spite of that I ping it manually. My posts get indexed within five minutes, but none of the tags get registered. Is there any way to overcome this problem? I never faced a problem like this before. I do have a comment, now that you mention it!
