I deleted the Sony PSP folder on my unit, help!

Uhhhh.....So I used to get a folder on my computer when I plugged in my PSP, but it has disappeared. I cannot get a removable disk folder in my computer...but I checked the device manager and it said that everything is working. It lists the PSP as a USB mass storage device. But I can't open that link. That is the only place 'PSP' is listed...Help!

How do you clear upgrade from memory stick on psp.

Can't download music to PSP. Files get transfered to PSP,and appropriate bits are used. Unfortunately,PSP shows no tracks. I have reformated no help!

I created the MP_ROOT\100MNV01 folder and transferred video file. When I tried to play it, it says no videos even though my disc space is full. whats up with that? PSP sucks.

i do everything i convet video to mepg 4 psp when i put it IN MP_ROOT folder .when i go back it says no video but my memory is in used.

JUST TO CLEAR UP SOME LITTLE PROBLEMS SEEMS TO BE HAVING....

1. Register your PSP with sony and get the latest firmware.

2. Missing folders on your PSP memory card can be reset by simply formatting the card through your PSP's system sttings.

3. When wanting to add video make sure you drag & drop a .THM file to your VIDEO folder (not your mproot folder) aswell as the .MP4 File.. (If your looking for a good dvd convertor then IMTOO Platinum Ripper is what i use).

4. Drag and drop your pictures to picture folder & mp3's to music folder.

5. If you do not have any of these folders either do STEP1 & STEP2 or create them via you pc. Plug you PSP into computer navigate to USB, a window will now open... Create the folders named - MUSIC , PICTURES , VIDEO , .

6. THE PSP FOLDER... Inside this folder there should be the following folders. If not then create them. -

COMMON - ?
GAME - Where you eboot files go or game folders with you download game demos (remeber the whole folder has to go in not just the game file).

SAVEDATA - Game Saves.

SYSTEM - ?

THEME - Themes are stored here if you have the latest firmware that is.

Anyway thats about all i can say on the matter for now... Just some quick other notes...

The psp speakers are very quiet, this due to a public convenience law or something, you will find the volume very loud through headphones.

Also as you all already kno i'm sure, the screen scratches so easy.. When i say easy i mean a piece of tissue paper will leave scratches. Get yourself a proper cleaning cloth and try to use a self adhiesive screen protector.

ok i have a question, from what i gathered from people saying stuff is that i will need to update my psp with stuff like with newer softare im not sure what this is, i am getting my psp in 6 days and was told that i need new software as soon as i get it so can u send me a e-mail i would really appreciate it thanks man and happy thanks giving:)

I cant remember when i first got my psp if there was a folder labeled VIDEOS. Basically what i want to no is how do you retrieve one or two folders without having to completly rebuild

I update my psp to a ver 3.52 and now it isnt taking any iso/cso files.when i copy them to the memory stick it will say corrupted data...can you help me pls

When adding and removing files from the PSP via iMac, the Memory Stick does not update its corresponding new available space. For instance, I had 89MB's remaining and removed a 300mb movie. Even after powering down and ejecting and whatnot, the Memory stick still shows 89mb's available. Anyone know the issue here?

hey dave, i hooked up my PSP 2 the computer, went 2 and clicked on USB connection and it says please wait. I already tryed formatting my memory stick. My Windows XP computer when i hook it up says that it says" USB device not recognized and that the device is unknown. Also when i click on properties of it it says in device status that no drivers r installed 4 this device. I don't know what else 2 do. Please contact me back. i need ur help!!!!!!!

i formatted my psp by right clicking the removable disk because i thought it would default all settings. and now all folders are gone. what should i do?

I used to have couple of folders (such as: psp, iso, music, picture, saved data etc) in my psp memory stick but now when I plug the psp to my computer it just shows some other folders (such as: dic, font, vsh). please tell me what should I do. Do I need to format the memory stick and redo everything?

Man, I need your help; every time I turn my PSP on, the only that appears is a black screen (w/ the green light blinking. PSP model: 3004). The Reason: I accidentally deleted all the files inside it.
