I deleted the Sony PSP folder on my unit, help!Dave, I hooked up my Sony PSP to my Windows PC and, darn it, accidentally deleted everything on the memory stick. Now I'm stuck. How do I recreate everything? If you're okay with having a complete rebuild, then your best bet might be to just reformat the Memory Stick on your Sony PSP directly. That's done by going to Home, then Settings, then System Settings, then find Format Memory Stick and select it by pressing the "X" button. It'll build all the files and folders you need. Failing that, or if you have some content still on your 'stick and want to avoid a complete reformat, hook your PSP up to your PC (or Mac, for that matter), then make sure that there's a folder on the very topmost level called "PSP". Within that here's what you should end up with: ![]() While you're at it, you can easily drop JPEG images into the PHOTO folder and MP3 files into your MUSIC folder. Done? Click on the PSP disk on your Windows screen and select Eject (or if you're on a Mac, use control-click Eject instead). Now unplug your PSP and you should be back in business!

But I can't open that link. That is the only place 'PSP' is listed...Help! Posted by: hasn at August 2, 2007 6:53 AMi dont have a video file on the computer when i connect the psp and the computer with usb cable..help? Posted by: amar at August 28, 2007 5:58 PMJUST TO CLEAR UP SOME LITTLE PROBLEMS SEEMS TO BE HAVING.... 1. Register your PSP with sony and get the latest firmware. 2. Missing folders on your PSP memory card can be reset by simply formatting the card through your PSP's system sttings. 3. When wanting to add video make sure you drag & drop a .THM file to your VIDEO folder (not your mproot folder) aswell as the .MP4 File.. (If your looking for a good dvd convertor then IMTOO Platinum Ripper is what i use). 4. Drag and drop your pictures to picture folder & mp3's to music folder. 5. If you do not have any of these folders either do STEP1 & STEP2 or create them via you pc. Plug you PSP into computer navigate to USB, a window will now open... Create the folders named - MUSIC , PICTURES , VIDEO , . 6. THE PSP FOLDER... Inside this folder there should be the following folders. If not then create them. - COMMON - ? SAVEDATA - Game Saves. SYSTEM - ? THEME - Themes are stored here if you have the latest firmware that is. Anyway thats about all i can say on the matter for now... Just some quick other notes... The psp speakers are very quiet, this due to a public convenience law or something, you will find the volume very loud through headphones. Also as you all already kno i'm sure, the screen scratches so easy.. When i say easy i mean a piece of tissue paper will leave scratches. Get yourself a proper cleaning cloth and try to use a self adhiesive screen protector. When adding and removing files from the PSP via iMac, the Memory Stick does not update its corresponding new available space. For instance, I had 89MB's remaining and removed a 300mb movie. Even after powering down and ejecting and whatnot, the Memory stick still shows 89mb's available. Anyone know the issue here? Thanks Posted by: Greg at May 13, 2008 7:55 PMhi dave, I have a lot to say, but ...
I do have a comment, now that you mention it!
