How to delete your comments from a YouTube video?I've been a prolific commentator on YouTube in the entertainment channel and, well, now I regret some of the comments I left. Is there any way to go back and delete any of them? Until very recently, the answer was "no", you were out of luck and any sort of comment you left on the super-busy YouTube site was there forever. If you spend any time on YouTube, you're familiar with the result of that decision by the developers: the comment streams are idiotic at best and downright appalling at their worst. To be fair, I don't think it represents the state of humanity because I do believe that sites like YouTube attract an audience that enjoys and exploits the anonymity of the Internet to be more crude or obscene than they'd ever be in person. Luckily. If you have your own videos on YouTube, fortunately, you can set it so that you don't allow comments or that you get to approve comments before they go live. A very good idea, unless you like to see all the goofy stuff that random folk leave! Now, in terms of comments you leave on other YouTube videos, the good news is that you can delete those comments now. Here's what it looks like when you're entering a comment: ![]() and now, when you view that YouTube page that shows your comment, it looks like this: ![]() Notice the "Remove" link. Click on it, and without so much as a confirmation window, it vanishes from the page and the site. Done!
