
How do I delete a calendar from Google Calendar?I have added quite a few public calendars over the last few years I have been using Google Calendar, and now find that I want to trim things. Problem is, I can't see how to *delete* calendars in Gcal! This is a bit more tricky than perhaps it should be, this task of deleting additional or third-party calendars in Google Calendar. The trick is to realize that clicking on "calendar settings" in the small context-menu is useless. What I'm talking about -- the pointless path to travel -- is illustrated here: ![]() Again, that's not what you want to do. Instead, look just a wee bit further down on the left side and you'll see "Settings" below your list of calendars: ![]() Click on that and you'll get a nice listing of all your calendars and their settings: ![]() It should be no big surprise that clicking on the little trashcan icon indicates you want to permanently discard (or at least unhook) the specified calendar from your own calendar view. Pick one you'd like to axe, click it and you'll get a prompt and friendly confirmation window: ![]() Looks good? Click on "Remove" and the dirty deed is done.
