Check free space on Windows XP?I'm still not quite sure about where you find how much space there is on your hardrive (My PC runs Windows XP). All I can find is "512 MB of RAM"? I'm surprised you're having such a hard time, actually. Here's how I check the free space on my hard drive: Open up "My Computer" and just hover the mouse over the drive in question. After a second or two, a tiny window should pop up: ![]() If you want more information, right-click on the drive and choose Properties and you'll get this considerably more helpful window: ![]() That should give you the information you seek!

If you're running low on hard drive space, and are wondering just where all that space is being used, I'd recommend checking out JDiskReport. It's a nice free tool that is invaluable in helping you determine what is using up your drive space. I run it on everything from enterprise file servers to my desktops and laptops with great success. http://www.jgoodies.com/freeware/jdiskreport/ Just be careful if you decide to clean up - make sure you don't delete any critical system or application files. Posted by: Chris Buechler at January 13, 2006 7:19 PMHello. I am running XP Pro.... I'll keep this short.. I know you can put a locking code on the whole windows system. To prevent other people from opening your windows program. However I would like to put a locking code on a single file. Like for instance in order to open up "let's say" MY DOCUMENTS you would have to enter a 3 or 4 digit code to enter that file. I don't want to lock out windows, just a file. Is this possible??? Thanks anxiously awaiting your reply.... DOC Posted by: Doc at July 14, 2006 12:34 AMHow to "right-click" on Windows XP over Parallels Desktop over Mac OS X using the one-button of Apple Mac? I have seen "Emulating right-click in windows under Parallels Desktop": but I wonder if there is a better or easier way to do it (eg., by keyboard commands) without installing any software or puchasing another mouse.
