Can I change the Blogger.com NavBar?I've been using Blogger for a while and have grown to really like, especially after I read your note about changing templates (How to change your Blogger template). My question now is that I have a new design that's mostly reds but the Blogger NavBar is blue. Can I change its color? Yes you can. In fact, if you went through the process of changing your template on Blogger.com you actually skipped right past the spot where you can change the color of the Blogger navbar, believe it or not! Let's review the steps needed to change templates, and I'll stop where the navbar setting can be found... First, log in and get to your Dashboard. It'll look like this: ![]() Click on the little machine wheel / cog icon (it's under "CHANGE SETTINGS") on the blog you'd like to change. The top of the subsequent screen will have the following set of tabs: ![]() Click on "Template", and you'll see three options: Edit current, AdSense and Pick new. You want the first of these options, "Edit current", which has the following on the top of the page: ![]() That's where you can indeed change the color of your navigational bar. The default is blue, as you know, but you can also choose from tan, black and silver. Pick the one you prefer, then at the bottom of the page choose "Save Template Changes" and even though it now says "you must publish to see your changes" the fact is, if this is the only change you made, you're done and the change has happened. Go to your Blogger weblog and admire your handiwork.

Thank you so much for direction in how to change the navbar. It seems so simple probably to you, and I don't know how I overlooked it... But. You saved me a lot of time and its so greatly appreciated. Hope you have a spectacular 4th of July and I wish the best to you and yours. Posted by: Mirage Chopper at July 3, 2007 5:14 PMChange means, how to change NAV bar completely add more things to it. That's what somebody would come here for. To change COLOR. If that's somebody wants, COMMON! Posted by: Muwasalat.com at July 26, 2009 4:10 PMI put a widget for Adsense in the right column of my blog. It doesn't present itself when I open the blog. I get a little icon of a hammer and a blank space. What did I do wrong and how can I fix it? Also, where can a guy go to pay for help for tech support for Blogger? Thanks- Posted by: Russell Longcore at October 24, 2009 10:02 AMRussell, where are you getting an AdSense widget? As far as I know, Google doesn't make any AdSense widgets available, so is it through a third party? Also, a lot of times you'll find that services like blogger void your pasted JavaScript, so quite likely the widget isn't blogger.com compatible anyway. In terms of support for Blogger, that's a tough one because once you get to the point of paying for support, you're also probably ready to graduate to a more serious blogging platform like wordpress.com or typepad.com Posted by: Dave Taylor at October 24, 2009 10:54 AMHi Dave, I occasionally find your site comes up when I google various problems, and appreciate your good work, and that you share it as you do. It's also refreshing to find tips that are so well laid out, making them quick and easy to follow. In this particular instance tho', I'd already discovered how to change the colour (UK/continental spelling on this side of the pond!) of Blogger's navbar, according to their subset of options. What I want to do is custom colour the bar and the fonts within it... I've spent a lot of time trawling the web on this topic this evening, so far to no avail. I hope you can help! Posted by: Sebastian at March 17, 2011 5:24 PMI have something to say, now that you mention it, but ...
I do have a comment, now that you mention it!
