Got a new Amazon Kindle for Christmas and I love it. I’m supposed to be able to plug it into my Mac and access the files — and more importantly copy some of my music and photos onto the device. But I plug in my Amazon Kindle Fire and the Mac system sees nothing. No device, not even an error message. Help!
I’m giving my Kindle PaperWhite to my Mom because I now have an Apple iPad Air and find that’s a better solution for me. How can I ensure that I’ve properly reset and restored the Kindle so that my Mom has an “out of box” experience with it?
When I go to buy ebooks on Amazon.com I notice that the device names shown are randomly chosen by Amazon, not the names I’d like for my Paperwhite, iPad and PC. Can I change these device names and specify which is my default reader?
It’s Christmas morning and Santa was generous, leaving me a new Kindle Fire HD under the tree. Terrific and I’m excited to try the Kindle reader, except I’d really like to be able to browse Amazon and buy ebooks directly on the Kindle itself. Can that be done, can I use the Kindle and just leave my computer off, browse the online bookstore and buy and download a book directly?
