I really like Google Plus, but I think about half of what I see in my news feed are “what’s hot” postings. But I don’t want to see ’em at all, just the postings from my friends and colleagues. Can I turn off “What’s Hot”?
I’m not a fan of the popularity contest that social media ends up being, and noticed that on Google Plus some profiles have their “viewer” count while others don’t. I don’t want it on mine. How can I hide or disable the view or viewer count on my Google Plus profile?
Thanks to your article [ed note: see Claim Your Custom URL on Google+], I now have a custom URL for my Google Plus profile, but I’d like to tweak it so that the first letter of my last name is capitalized. How do I fix it?
I hate that Google is now using my face and name in adverts just like Facebook is doing. I don’t want to be endorsing anything, let alone things I’m not even aware of. How the heck do I turn off the “shared endorsements” feature?
I like to share important news stories I read from the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, and Bloomberg with my Google Plus colleagues, but it’s rare to find G+ on share bars. The URLs are ridiculously long. Is there some simple way I can share anyway?
