Dave, can ya help me out? I can’t pair oakley Razrwire with my RAZR v3c, though it seems like since they’re both from Motorola it should be pretty easy to get it working. Help!
Man, those are some wicked cool sunglasses, and having a built-in bluetooth headset is a very cool idea too. I might worry a bit about losing or breaking the glasses, but if you’re careful, it definitely seems sweet!
According to Motorola, here’s exactly how you should be pairing up your RAZR phone with your RAZRWIRE glasses.
First step is to go to the RAZR phone itself and put it in pairing mode. Press “menu” then move through to: Settings –> Connection –> Bluetooth Link –> Setup . Still with me?
Now you need to turn the bluetooth feature on, which you do by choosing “Power: On” at this screen. Next, select Hands Free and …
Now, turn the RAZRWIRE device off , then push down the Call button for about 10 seconds, until the light’s on solid, not flashing.
Back to the phone: select Look for Devices and after a few seconds, it should show Oakley Razrwire . That’s what you want. Select it, then the next screen will say Bond with Oakley Razrwire , and it’ll ask for a bluetooth passkey.
Use 0000 as the bluetooth passkey.
You should get a confirmation screen on the RAZR phone, then the light on the RAZRWIRE should flash a bunch of times and turn off.
That’s all there is to it. Motorola has more specific documentation if you need it at RAZRWIRE pairing instructions too.
If you can’t get this to work, you might well need a new battery in the RAZRWIRE and/or need to charge it up again.
Good luck to you!
