I'm enamored of MobileMe, the data sharing and sync service from Apple, but $99/year seems pretty steep. Is there a cheaper way that I can renew my MobileMe membership and save a few dollars?

Last week I thought I'd lost my Apple iPhone but after a day I found it. Still, I've become a bit paranoid, but having a security code on the phone itself is too annoying. Instead, is there a way for me to remotely set a security code if I do lose the phone again?

I have both an SMTP and a MobileMe account set up on my iPhone and just noticed that when I send email from the phone, it has a MobileMe return address, not my proper account address. I think it's picking the wrong account, not just wrong email, so is there a way to change the iPhone default email account?

I've been on MobileMe for years now, and love that it could automatically sync calendars on my iPhone, iPad and computers, even to where I could access my calendar (and contacts, lest I forget) from any Web browser in the world. Very handy for someone who lives and dies by his calendar. Now there's a new player in town, iCloud, and it's a mandatory upgrade for all MobileMe users.

How can you most easily upgrade your MobileMe account to iCloud?

This is beyond annoying: I've been using the Notes application on my iPhone 3G to keep track of different things and now that I want to get the notes of, I realize that I'm kind of trapped. I can't see any way to access them off the phone, even within iTunes, which reports that it's backing up and syncing those same notes. Frustrating!!

I've been experimenting with different photo management applications on my new iMac system and am impressed with Aperture. Except for one little glitch: sometimes when I plug in my camera it automatically shows up in Apple's Aperture, and other times it doesn't. When it isn't showing up, how can I find my DSLR digital camera in Aperture?

I'm impressed with the HD video camera built in to my iPhone 4 and use it a lot to record short videos. Problem is, they don't end up in iTunes so I can't copy them to other devices, watch them on my AppleTV, etc. I know that AirPlay is supposed to help, but that seems really complicated. What I want is a way to copy a video to the "movies" section of iTunes. Is that possible?

Hi Dave. I have an iPad and have really enjoyed using it, but now that the iPad 2 is available from Apple. Well. I have to get it. Shiny toy syndrome and all that. My question: what's the fastest and easiest way to configure my new iPad so it has all my apps, music, videos, etc., from the original iPad I have?

Now that I have an iMac and an Apple iPhone 3GS I am thinking I should also sign up for Apple's Mobile Me service so I can have wireless syncing and be just a bit safer in case I lose my phone too. How do I proceed?
